Derek launched Integrative Capital, LLC as a Registered Investment Adviser in 2009. After 17 years as a broker, prop desk manager, and private trader, he felt it was time to apply his passion for risk management into managing client portfolios. He applies a mix of art and science in positioning clients in the direction of change, combining raw market data with a true respect for the behavioral tendencies of investors.

Derek graduated with honors from the University of Arizona in 1992 with a BS in Finance and spent 2 years with OLDE Discount Stockbrokers before running the trading desk of startup broker Online Trading, Inc. Upon the company’s merger with Omega Research to become TradeStation Securities, he stepped into a role as a full-time client and data hound. It was during those years that he developed and tested the strategies now used for clients of Integrative Capital. He lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and 2 young children.
